FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                     January 4, 2017

Scuderia Southwest acquires Concours in the Hills

Scuderia Southwest, one of Arizona’s largest car clubs, announced today that it has acquired Concours in the Hills, the largest car show in Arizona for high performance and collector cars.

Concours in the Hills, held annually in February in the park around the lake and fountain in Fountain Hills, was started in 2014. In three years it has grown to 513 cars in 2016 with some 15,000 spectators and 67 sponsors. A charity event benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale raised $90,000 in 2016.

Peter Volny, who started the show and is also on the board of Scuderia Southwest stated “Scuderia Southwest is one of Arizona’s largest and the most prestigious car club and organizer of the immensely popular monthly Motorsports Gathering held at The Shops at Gainey Village and the annual Festival of Speed so it only made sense to add Concours in the Hills to their growing portfolio.”

Concours in the Hills will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 from 10AM – 3PM featuring a diverse range of ultra-high performance sports, luxury and classic vehicles from both imported and domestic manufacturers in one of the most spectacular locations in the Phoenix area.

Concours in the Hills is not a formal “white glove” event, but rather a casual and fun gathering of automobile enthusiasts on the green grass around one of the world’s tallest fountains.

The Concours is supported by the leading car clubs of Arizona representing Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, McLaren, Jaguar, Corvette, Viper, Ford GT, Lotus, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, DeTomaso, DeLorean, Mustang, Cadillac and others.

Vehicle entries are a minimum donation of $50 to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Spectator admission and parking is free. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for February 18.
